J- -ff! c. if - e a . l a er Turning Qaida fx, 'VZ Q 1 KI, I Qiastle Every sophomore, junior and senior knows that Stadium, the wellfloved Brown Castle, is one of the most picturesque schools in the country. For years we have all heard tales of its origin, but few really know the true history of the ivyfcovered Bastille. Back in 1891 Tacoma's city fathers foresaw this up and coming community as a tourist haven and commercial terminal necessitating an additional hotel. This location proved to be ideal in that it was to have been in the heart of the growing metropo is and was endowed with its superlative view of Commencement Bay. But unfortunately, hard times came along and the project, which was under roof, was abandoned with the windows boarded up.
