PEGGY GAGLIARDI PAT CHAPMAN JANINE EKLUND BILL REID Secretary Treasurer Girls' Representative Boys' Representative 4 During its first year at Stadium, class oilicers were Ken Addis, president, Tom Rigney, vice presif dent, Ron Smith, secretary, Jim Malstrom, treasurer, Evie Gagliardi, girls' representative, and Wells Anderson, boys' representative. , ' President of Debate Club for two years, Bill Kidd won honors in the debate tournaments held at the College of Puget Sound during both his junior and senior years, as well as taking first prize in an oratorical contest. ln the Held of journalism, the most active Stadion was Shirley Willis, who in addition to serving as editor of The Tahoma, was editor of The World for two semesters and student adviser this spring. As a whole, the boys of the class participated in all sports, and contributed greatly to the record made by the school in CrossfState and City competition. Clara Bowe held the distinction of having the lead in the operas given in 1946 and 1947, The Vagabond King and Katinkaf' Also in the operas for three years were Rosalie Hoar, Roald Reitan and jim Ernst, who rose with successive performances from the special chorus to more important roles. Girls' Club officers were chosen mainly from members of the Senior Class, with president, Colleen Pickertg vice president, Clara Bowe, and treasurer, Rosalie Hoar, all active in the club. Department chair' men were Joan Thrasher, social, Joyce Welch, service, Sue Pringle, welfare, Alice Palmer, Triple S, Avis Face, Stadiana. ' V Boys' Club, which was reorganized this year after an unsuccessful attempt last year, was active with Ralph Wehmhoff as president, Bob La Hatt, vice president, Wells Anderson, secretary, and Chuck Engell, treasurer. RON SMITH SKIP NORTON President Vice President Seminar lass Talent and ability in all phases of school life marked the Class of 1947 as it finished its third year at the Brown Castle. Debate, athletics, journalism and music- all found representation by the members of the class. Caps and gowns to be worn at graduation instead of suits and formals were chosen for the fourth consecuf tive year. This was decided in January by a vote of the students in the class. Class officers during its final year at Stadium were Ron Smith, president, Skip Norton, vice president, Peggy Gagliardi, secretary, Pat Chapman, treasurer, Janine Eklund, girls' representative, and Bill Reid, boys' repref sentative.
