'ff' 1 7 U 5 l',..:.s?t IJ , SENIOR CLASS Prepared with knowledge and experience gained through three successful years at Stadium, members of the Class of 1943 will go out into a troubled world that will absorb the energies of many to rebuild and make it safe for all people. ,I Fred Thies, president, managed the class with the aid of Dale Murray, vice president, Don McCroskey, treasurer, lack Fisher, secretary, ar otte ta wi , resen aft to Student Council, and Don Hicks, boys' representative. As juniors the class elected George Thomas, president, but as he was nominated to be a page boy in Congress at Washington, D. C., early in the school year, Vice President Ioe Boyle took over the office. Other officers were Lois Hanson, treasurer, Lorraine Danell, secretary, and lim Davis and Patty Ricker, Student Council representatives. ln its first year at Stadium the Class of '43 a ' e n ' ' ent and his capable assistants w Ianet Hart, vice president, n Mergel, secretaryp Patty Harter, asure 5 e ' and lim Albertson, representatives. Masquerade, a modern operetta written by Mr. Iohnson, included many seniors in its cast, a few of whom were Pat Finch, Warren Tietz and Shirley Greenfield in leading roles. Russian Rhythm, the senior sweater dance, was pre- sented last October with Lorraine Danell and Walt Olson as co-chairmen. The decorations were carried out in the motif of our fighting ally. April 29 and 30 witnessed the Senior Class play, a modern comedy presented under the direction of Mrs. Gaul. Marion Osgood and Don McCroskey portrayed the leads. Others in the cast were lim Davis, Mary Ruth Erchinger, Virginia Royse, Merle Legg, Phyllis Halliday, Iuliana Ray, Bob Winskill, Chester Van Slyke, lack MacDonald, Fred Thies, Gordon Hill, Iohn Prechek, and lim Roberts. The Girls' Club claimed many active seniors as its officers. They were Kathryn Hultgren, president, Iuliana Ray, vice president, Carolyn Cummings, treasurerg Lois Hanson, secre- tary, Henr o - , ::. - e rtment, Alice Ann Cross, welfar errie Lough, fello - p, and Barbara Carmody, service. To create more school spirit among boys at Stadium, a Boys' Club was organized last winter with Ray Payne as president, Iohn Drake, vice president, Bob Olson, treasurer, and Duval Wiseman, secretary. The field of journalism was well represented by seniors, with Virginia Lochow and Paul Benson editing the fall and spring Worlds, and Pauline Healy was business manager all year. Iuliana Ray was editor of the yearbook while Emma Nelson handled the financial end of The Tahoma.
