Gwen Keeley Mary Gaylord Sidney Blechman 1192 Johnson Girls' Representative Secretary Treasurer BOYS RSPFCSCNHI C Sherman Day President Neal Lindstrom Vice President Senior Class ARMED with knowledge and experience gained through three years of study and social activities the 1941 class is well prepared to cope with the complexities of this troubled world. Sherman Day, president, capably headed the class with the aid of Neal Lindstrom, vice president, Sid Blechman, treasurerg Mary Gaylord, secretary, Gwen Keeley, girls representative. Virgil Walker was elected to a third term as boys representative but withdrew from school. Lee Johnson was chosen to replace him. Ranking highest scholastically in the senior regiment were Betty Perry, Richard Turner, valedictorians and Fred McMillin, salutatorian. Betty and Richard were com- mencement speakers. Jack Tuell was chosen by the students to speak while Grace Blangy was the faculty choice. Pride and Prejudice was presented by the '41 class under the direction of Miss Black. Eleanor Baker and Sherman Day played the parts of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy respectively. Others in the cast were Barbara Abel, Roall Erickson, Sherley Day, George Lutz, Frances Walters, George Funk, Elaine jackson, james Cadigan, Grace Blangy, Barbara Kohl, jack Tuell and others. Seniors taking leading roles in the opera, The Merry Widow, were Donna Mae Jaden, jack Tuell, Gwen Lobdell, Alec Daly and David Woodbridge. Arabian Nights, senior sweater dance, was presented in the spring with Dorothy Hager and Chuck Hampton as the co-chairmen. The novel decorations proved in- triguing to the large crowd that attended. The first activity dance of the year, Harvest Moon Hop, was also presented by the seniors. Betty Stalwick and Bryce Custis were co-chairmen for Football Night. Page 12

CLASSES OPHOMORES, juniors and seniors compose Sta- dium's classes. They are sometimes in the same rooms with one another, working at the same studies. At the end of three years they graduate as a class, and another group comes in to take their place. Army classes are more separated. The infantry, shown in action in the picture, the cavalry, the artillery.
