The true Christian does not renounce the activities of this life, he does not stunt his natural faculties: but he develops and perfects them, by coordin- ating them with the supernatural. He thus enobles what is merely natural in life and secures for it new strength in the material and temporal order, no less than in the spiritual and eternal. -Pius XI. ,X Y. l l 1 l FIGHT! FIGHT! The Mohawks -of the 1947-48 season were doomed to one of the most unfor- tunate years in their athletic history. They collected two victories-one in 'each sport. Of course figures do not tell the story of ia game, sfo collectively they do not tell the exact truth of a season. The Mohfawks always played to win- despite any odds-and although forced time and again, to stride off the field of play with defeat heavy on their shoulders, they had the satisfaction of knowing they had played to win. Having lost, they took their defeats as true players, and dowbtlessly made heroes of themselves in the process. With a bumper crop of snappy players intact, the long look up the vista of the future is a bright one indeed. 'Wm '4 Vincent Brown and lim Huth, football managers.
