As most of us have already discovered, freshman year in the Semi- nary is filled with new and varied experiences: uncertainties and ex- citements, joys and frustrations, discouragernents and successes. A freshman needs to believe that he will make it through his first year in high school. And to counteract the often demoralizing experiences of first semester classes, the trials of athletics, and the perennial short- comings in forging new friendships out of the many, extra en- couragement, praise and some helpful attention is always in order. 'Butrthough harrowing at times, the events in the life of a freshman are already becoming the foundation for the experiences of coming, more challenging school years.
