We elected ten girls with every class represented. When the students went through the pre- liminary eliminations, we still had one in the running. That contestant, Miss Jeanne Wilkinson eventually became queen. We were both happy for Jeanne and proud that the queen had come from St. Vincent's. 4 . Also presented was The Tinsel Twirl , a semi-formal dance A by the annual staff. The gym was transformed into a beautiful A V ballroom and Johnny Del-Fino never sounded better. be Our tradiitonal Christmas party was held on December l5, just prior to vacation 'time for the Freshmen. Since it is a 'T' tradition also for the Freshmen to provide entertainment, this year was no exception. The play Little Women was pre- 3 g sented and greatly enjoyed by everyone. The play was im- ff mediately followed by our party in which Dr. Murietta played Santa Claus and presented lovely gifts to the students. Dr. Murietta made a vivacious Santa and we really appreciated his participation. It was in the month of February that the Freshmen received G U j their caps. The best thing about capping of course, outside of Y the fact that you are no longer probies , is that the students X I QOH be QC1y, Celebrate and enjoy themselves, but, at the same 6 time, they don t have to say good-bye, to each other as they I must at graduation time, 7 5 4, Also in February the Sodality presented a dance called Hearts L-al ,S In Harmony , which was a big success, both financially and ' socially.
