My dear Graduate: This Far - Now Further. The first phase of your theme for your Yearbook must fill your hearts with gratitude and a sense of deep satisfaction. I sincerely congratulate you on the accomplishment of your Goal - a Professional Nurse - toward which you set out three years ago. As you glance in retrospect over these three years of training you will recall periods which every normal student experiences, days of fears and tears, homesickness, joys and happiness. All these suc- cessfully controlled, together with the ethical principles and nursing skills inculcated by e f f i c i ent instructors have prepared you for the second phase of your theme - Now Further. Perhaps at this stage you are experiencing a different feeling, one of intrepidation as you launch out alone, and yet not alone, for your faith in God will ever serve you as a stronghold in the responsibil- ities and sacrifices which you will encounter in your dedicated life, It is my hope and prayer that you will fulfill these well, always bearing in mind that in serving the Sick, you are serving Christ. God love and bless you always, Sister James Marian Hospital Administrator
