We, the students of St. Stephen ' s High, can be proud of our powerful Eagles this year in the tough competitive sport of football. The Eagles rounded out the season with a 5 win and 2 loss record. The two losses came at the hands of the powerful Shoshoni Wranglers and the Pavillion Panthers. Corky Payne was our leading scorer and our leading ground gainer. Mike Stark held up his reputation as an All-Stater scoring 51 points, all on passes from able quarterback, Tony Gamble. The race for total offense was close between Gamble, Stark and Payne. Our rock-ribbed defense, who yielded only an average of 11 points per game was led by McCoy, Al S. Hunter, Stark and Gamble. A special congratulation to our All-Staters, Mike Stark, Al Spoonhunter, and Corky Payne. We are looking forward to a great season next year but we know we will surely miss our three seniors who played great football under a very able and hard-working Coach Strannigan.
