TOMORROW IS OURS Anticipation and excitement were apparent as the Seniors filed into the gym to receive their diplomas on the night of graduation. “Tomorrow Is Ours,” not only sets the theme but also the mood for graduation night. After this night the Seniors all go their separate ways. Some will further their education by going on to college while others pursue vocational careers or domesti- cated positions. Graduation marked not only an end but also a beginning. An end to high school and a few old friends, but the beginning of new life and some new friends, as well as new experiences- On the night of graduation some of the class left for the beach. The class also has plans for a reunion in five years. Three graduates leave the school with smiles on their faces, and diplomas in their hands. Mrs. Terry and Mrs. Harris watch Mrs. Westbrook cheer for the new graduates. 18

A chorus consisting of juniors sang up some memories from the fifties. Decorations were based on the Fabulous Fifties” and thus enhanced the mood of the theme. Sophomore waiters and waitresses served food and dressed to set the mood for the prom. Twenty-four sophomores performed a dance in the style of the fifties. 17

You made it! i Tears streamed and laughter filled the air as the final good-byes were said. Joanne Isbell served as the Salutatorian. Darrell Jones served as the Valedictorian.
