Nlr kate Peace F lcher Lronrn W1 e OConnell Rrden fxrman Choir 'lla ter 'NlcDorman l'rrsl rou Tarrrn Huffman Beccro Ward Che ton Nia rll Ha n Prince berman THE CHOIR The Chorr thrs year experienced one of the most successful years rn rts existence The rorrsrderalrle renown as one of the finest male choirs south of Phrladelphra Old St Pauls Choir recruits many of rts voices from local business men, who give generously of their time for practice on Thursday rrrghts the Sunday service, and the many special occasrons throughout the year In addrtron to these men who comprise the bass, tenor and alto sectrons the nucleus of the Chorr rs provided bythe boys drawn principally from the fifth to eighth grades at St Paul s School The Chorr has its farm system, a junior chorr which constantly graduates new voices into the regular group There are daily rehearsals for both boys chorrs rn addrtron to the final Thursday night rehearsal for the regular Chorr The Choir boys sang rn many places this year during the Christmas season, rncludrng Sheppard Pratt Hospital, the Art Museum, and as usual at the Christmas Eve SCIVICC that was televised over WMAR Chorrmaster since 1953 Mr Donald lVlcDorman entertarns great hopes for the future of the orvfamzatron An ex chorr boy himself, he rs endlessly patient with the talent he must work with and with persrstence and musrcranshrp produces the heautrful anthems whrch those at Old St Paul s Church hear each Sunday He rs assisted capably by solorsts Johnny Weiss, this years solo soprano, George 0 Connell alto, Carl Schenks bass, and Ralph Snyder, tenor The professronal qualrty of St Paul s Choir makes lt truly one of the finest organwatrons found at the Brooklandwood rrrstrtutron 82 ', 4' ' I-7 , .
