md A- Co-Captains Whiteford and Leimbach Willoughby pounds around the end . . . ouch! defeated, 12-6. The following week found the Crusaders at lVIcDonogh, where they over- whelmed a strong 'aFarmer,, team, l2-7, in a thrill-packed game. The Blue and Gold then met a powerful Towerhill eleven from Delaware and were soundly beaten, 40-6, on a rain-soaked field. St. James was disposed of, 19-6, before the Saints closed their season with an 18-7 loss to Severn. This year the team was fortified at every position. The offensive line was composed of Jerry Schmidt, Bob Diehl, Hutch Hodgson, Dave Downs, Parker Leimbach, and Streett Whiteford, while ,lack Mitzelfelt, Whitner Church, Larry Post, Roy Mayne, and Brent Buchheister made up the defensive line. The powerful, high-scoring backfield was led by Carroll Giese, Don Willoughby, Bill Pugh, Henry Stansbury, Jim Crum, and Neale Smith. The rest of the team was rounded out by Cabell, Cox, C. Darrell, Gore, Gouldin, lVIerryman, Mooney, Rutherford, and Welch.
