Alf5fOl g St. l'aul's School for Boys nas founded lfehru- ary' 9. 1349, as a Parish Day Sehool of St. l'aul's Protestant llpiseopal Church. the oldest Anglican parish in llaltimore. Daily sessions nere held in the Sunday Sehool room until 1868 uhen the svhool moved to nets quarters on Saratoga Street and for the first time took hoarding students. From this time forward the sehool has serxed as a Christian Home for its students under the per- sonal direetion of a headniaster. the llen-lor. and a lloard of 'lrnstees who endeayor to lvuild high moral and religious eharaeter znnong the pupils and offer a sound eourse nf study along the lines of English edueation. The sehool settled on lfast Franklin Street until 1923 when it moyed to sulrurlran Mt. Washington. The addition of a Lower School lnuilding enahled eomplete separa- tion of the upper forms from the loner ones. ln 1952 the sehool moved to its present loeation in the Green Spring Yalley. This attraetiye spot is excellently adapted to the uses of a sehool. giy ing it more modern and expanded faeilities.
