The following day was lust perfect for a sightseeing tour. After attending Mass and receiving communion, they viewed the gigantic Washington Monument and many of them climbed to its summit. Tours through the Capitol Building, the F. B. l Building, the Smithsonian lnstitute, the Art Gallery and other well-known buildings, were interesting as well as informative. The third and last day was occupied by visiting Mount Vernon, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Statue of Iwo Jima and the most beautiful and inspiring Franciscan Monastery. The three days ended all too soon, but the memories our seniors treasure of the wonderful sights they saw and the thrill and excitement of their trip will not soon fade from their minds.
