In past years the club has maintained a low profile, but now it is open to the entire student body The Club ' s main goal is to raise money for the production of the school plays. They do this by having bake sales and talent shows. A car wash and a student faculty talent show were discussed as possible fundraisers The dub boasts forty-eight members which is a very good size because there are plenty of ideas and a great deal of work gets accomplished The officers were Kathy Vela - President, Eriko Rodriguez - Vice-President. Gladys Naranjo - Secretary and Maria Romo - Treasurer. The officers and members were rewarded at the end of the year by Mrs. Store - Moderator It ' s kind of hard keeping track of such a large crowd, but it ' s also fun, says Kathy Vela.

Enrichment Campus Ministry was formed two years ago to supplement and expand the girls ' religious education Though the development of the department has progressed slowly, it achieved its main goal, which is to enrich each and every girl spiritually as well as mentally In this effort the department, under the direction of Ms, Gabriel and Ms Butorac, designed and successfully completed a diversity of interesting activities throughout the past year. The traditional class retreats were earned on with their usual spark of animation, but with a couple of changes. Instead of the customary one day retreat, the Juniors were allowed to enjoy an entire weekend in Big Bear and both the Freshmen and the Sophomores were granted an off-campus retreat. Among the most exciting and highly speculative presentations that were sponsored by Campus Ministry was Disarmament Week, which took place in October. This program was presented by Sr, Regina and Sr. Stellomarie from the Catholic Peace Coalition, it examined the topic of nuclear war through informative films and discussions. The event was an influential experience that enhanced the student body and delivered a clearer perspective on the nuclear weapons issue. Not only did this year imbue each student with a broad range of knowledge, but it reinforced her religious foundation. 1 Sister Mary Lynn neips r jtrief iuny distribute Holy Communion 2 Our patron saint - St Matthias 3 Playing tianabells con be a teacher-student activity 4 During the Our Father, the congregation 15 one 5 Evelia Torres receives her Lenten ashes from Father Gorman 6 On the first Campus Ministry retreat of this year, in November.
