Aguero The California Scholarship Federation is one club without any financial dues, but this club does indeed require a strong sense of responsibility in its members. Open to sophomores, juniors and seniors, the club requires that its members maintain a 3.4 grade point average. Once in the club a girl devotes a part of her time to tutoring students with problems in academic subjects such as mathematics, languages, social studies and science, truly following the club motto Scholarship through Service. Among other club activities is the annual field trip on a school day which could range from a campus tour of a nearby college to a trip to the Griffith Park Observatory. Although the field trip does provide some means of education, it also provides a dedi cated C.S.F. member with a pleasant break from academic pressures associated with school, as any member knows. This club is just one of the many rewards a student can achieve if she applies herself and proves to be responsible.

The Mission Club ' s main function is to raise money for the missions at home and around the world. With about fifty members, the Mission Club sponsors many different activities such as bake sales, Jean Day and the annual dance. The Mission Club also helps people in our community by having annual food drives on special holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. This food goes to local families and surrounding communities who benefit greatly from this aid. Giving is caring and the Mission Club is evidence that the student body truly cares. 1 Can anyone recognize this famous nun? 2. Mission Club members await further information from the officers, 3. Maria Curiel, Vice-President of the Mission Club, gives Kim Arnold her long awaited pin.
