Convergence Cross over to rooms 109, 106, and 10 at 8:22 in ttie morning, and you will tind the noisiest group in the school listening to morning homeroom announcements. Besides being the noisiest class in school, the Junior class is also the largest. It is the only class that fills three entire homerooms. The class ' size is its strength as the class proved in the Spirit Day activities in September. It was great. I felt lil e a spirit leader the whole time, said Junior mascot Goofy (alias Diana Bueno), one of the loudest Juniors around. Diana, along with other spirited Juniors, led the class to victory, winning the Spirit Stick for the third consecutive year. 1 I love Ba-nan-a, says Kim Stevenson, 2, Is this a hint as to what Virginia Gallo does in her spare time? 3. Spirit Week On the last day of trie Spirit Week activities, an unexpected victory took place: the sophomores brought in the most aluminum cans for the Student Council Aluminum Can Drive The Class of ' 86. the dark horse class of the school, surprised everyone on the last day of the drive when three whole trash cans were filled with the cans the Class of ' 86 had worked hard to gather How was it done? Sophomores busied themselves with the search for aluminum in the lunchyard, in giant metal garbage cans, in people ' s homes, and in the streets. In the end, every Sophomore ' s efforts paid off The Sophomores tasted victory in the form of money Every penny earned from the drive went directly to the Sophomore treasury, which proves that hard work definitely pays off cckM V JL
