Our year as freshmen 4-ontained many thrilling hrst experienees for us: football and basketball games with our own boys on the teams and our own girls on the cheering squads. our first proud appz-aranee in the Clee Club, our first Retreat. and the lVlay Crowning where we became part of the long white procession. As we struggled through the congruent triangles of geometry and the complicated translation of Caesar in Latin II. we acquired more knowledge and a keener in- as terest in languages and mathematics. Parlez- vous francais?', Of course we did-in French l. The year did not hold just studies. hut also new experiences and responsibilitiesg such as, getting acquainted with Shakespeare and putting on a successful mixer. How could we ever forget the excitement of transforming the gymnasium into a classroom for our Mid-Year Mixer, mark- ing the end of January exams? Now, alittle wiser and a little more prudent, we are ready to take- our place as upperclassmen.
