Rodney Read and Eddie Fogel took to the wind and sprinted for the 33-0 victory over the Redskins. Read scored three T. D. 's and Fogel two for the Crusaders. Jim Darland took the extra point honors. The line, playing outstand- ing ball, frequently threw the Redskins for losses. ST. MARY'S AGAIN DEFEATS CRATER RESERVES Because of the fact that Prospect withdrew itsteam from the B League competition this year the Crus- aders were left with an idle weekend.Coach Millard Webb would not, however, have the team stand idle and become rusty, so he again scheduled a game with the Crater Reserves. This time the Crusaders out- played the Comets by far and won the game l9-l4. CRUSADERS BEAT TALENT FOR LEAGUE LEAD St.Mary's nextopponents were the Bulldogsof Talent. The scoring started outwith a drive by St. Mary's that ended in the endzone, on a pass from Ron Pruitt to Jerry Flakus, who lateraled to Jim Darland who went across for the six points.St.Mary's again went on the rampage and setup another scoring drive that also ended with Darland crossing the goal line. The two conversionswere accounted tor by Jack Daley and Rick Cooper, respectively, on passes from Pruitt. Talent scored twice in the second half but failed to convert. The S.M. line frequently stopped the Bulldogs when they threatened to score. The game ended with the Crusaders on top l4-l2 to give St.Mary's the league lead.
