Winter HIBERNATION is an unknown season aT SainT Mary's. The grey, moisT Tog which envelopes STockTon rarely dampens The spiriTs oT The sTudenTs whose school resembles The proverbial bee hive where each sTudenT is a worker conTronTed wiTh a parTicular Task To com- pleTe. There are no drones in laTe November when The annual bazaar draws near. The lower hall hums wiTh acTiviTy as workers spend hours decoraTing booThs and planning displays. One oT The busiesT workers is The baskeTball coach, who has The Tremen- dous Task oT piecing TogeTher a precision machine able To cope wiTh The keen opposiTion oT neighboring Teams. The Madonna and l-ler Child are honored by all in The monTh oT December, when The ChrisTmas Program is given. ln early February The eldesT bees leave Their hives in order To enioy a day oT Tun and merrymaking. This occasion is The Senior DiTch Day, which Takes everyone To The snowy slopes oT Dodge Ridge, and which, in spiTe oT aching muscles and snowburns, is enjoyed by all who aTTend. To add To The exciTemenT oT The season The Rams enTer The TradiTional Tracy BaskeTball TournamenT, where yelling and cheering are as much a parT oT The show as baskeTball.
