Bungie In The Jungle Mr. Walter F. Amburn was department chairman. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Bowling Green State University. He taught world cultures, world history and civics. Mr. Philip D. Jaeger, Jr. QMaster of Arts, Ohio State Universityj, taught American history, contemporary his- tory and sociology. Mr. James Metzo taught the Ohio history courses. The civics classes were provided with an opportunity to register for voting in the elections for those seniors who were eligible. The social studies department also initiated a Century Ill Scholarship Program. lt's purpose is to aid seniors seeking financial aid in the form of a scholarship. Mother Nature's Son - Department chairman of the science department was Mrs. Eloise Renwand. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooster. She taught biology, human physiology, and seminar in current biology. Mr. W. Martin Smith CBachelor of Education, University of Toledoh, taught all sophomore biology. Earth science and chemistry was taught by Sister Mary Vivette CBachelor of Arts, Mary Manse Collegeh. Sister Danielle taught physics. ln addition, Miss Kathleen Shufflin student taught at St. Mary's for several months. The science department participated in the First Annual Honor Student Night, at Bowling Green State University, and the Eleventh Annual Youth and Science Conference, held at Ohio State University. The annual science fair was very successful, with 11 students' projects being judged superior and enabling them to go on to Heidle- burg for competition. Science Mrs. Eloise Renwand Mr. W.
