THEODORE A. VIYRZYKOWSKI - 24 Suffield Street Basketball l, 2, 37 Co-Captain 4: Baseball 1, 37 Catholic Youth Council 37 Physical Education Chairman 47 Prom Committee 37 Dramatics 3. - good company...a contagious smile... basketball star...never at a loss for words...d.tspenser of good cheer...strong, will not be easily swayed...drlvlnq technique all his own. 1-'or the Saint Mary' s High Graduate, the shrine on JasnaGora stands as a mount of strength in which he sees ideally blended the qualities and virtues of the true leader and the defender of the faith. His high school preparation has had for its goal precisely this - to make of him a militant Catholic. In his heart he has envisioned in transformation of the world for the better, and has seen the part he will be asked to play. He knows, therefore, that he can have no better model to imitate, no one stronger to guide him on through life, than the 'Black Madonna , who can teach him courage and fortitude. From Her hallowed shrine may She deign to hear our fervent prayers so that Her presence among us be felt always. May She strengthen our wills to do only what is righteous and noble, guide and draw us to Her if we should err, con- sole 'us and assuage our pains when we grow weary with trials and anxiety. May She give to all of us the priceless secret of keeping the Faith of our fathers, to nourish hope in Her pro- tection as did the defenders of Her hallowed shrine, and to nurture in our hearts the spark of divine love, so that we may be instruments of promoting Christ's peace as our fathers were bulwarks in the defense of Christian nations. .31-

Sub tuum preasidium. . .The finale that looks to a beginning! With this prayer on our lips and in our hearts we, the graduates, step into the new world of the future. Our years at Saint Mary's were highlighted by many happy hours in which we garnered knowledge, cultivated precious friendships and fashioned a golden chain of memories. Fully conscious of our limitations as humans we face tomorrow humbly and bravely, trustful in Her, who came to the aid of the de- fenders of Czestochowa. .43-
