White. Who set the spirit at our school? Who spent all sum- mer long practicing in order to lead the fans during games? This group of talented, spirited, and dedicated girls put most of their time and effort toward making SMA a more fun and exciting place for us all. They promote pep and spirit in assemblies, during pep ral- lies, and most important during the games with their well coordinated routines and cheers. This year our Varsity Belles attended Cal State Long Beach for the 1987-88 USA Spirit Camp. There they learned how to promote even more school spirit and enthusiasm. The Belles left CSLB with numerous Superior ribbons and two Spirit sticks. The class rings symbolize unity among the juniors. Thus, the entire class receives t e same ring, to show that they are one and wil stand by each other.
