Student Council Through the leadership and organiza- tion of President Craig Chapman and fac- ulty sponsor Larry Cavitt, the 1978-79 Stu- dent Council had an active and produc- tive year. The Council supervised such annual activities as Upper School Assem- blies, the Homecoming Dance, St. Mark's- Hockaday Field Day, and teacher and Course Evaluation forms. In addition to these usual duties, the Council submitted a Student Concerns section to the school's I.S.A.S. Long Range Planning Report, clarified the purpose and procedure of the Discipline Committee and investi- gated the possibility of purchasing a stereo system to replace live bands at dances. Along with Chapman, the Executive Committee of the Council frightj included Vice-President Craig Caudle and Secre- tary-Tresurer Bob Ienevein. Diverse representation contributed to a substantial achievement in school affairs. - Craig Chapman '79
