Since her arrival in l971, Ingrid Yollicli has taught Middle School English and Social Studies. Ms. Yolliclc earned a BA. from Smith College and a M.Iid. from the University of Massachusetts. She is also the faculty advisor for the Marque. jack Safrit, 72, arrived at St. Markls in 1975 to teach Middle School Social Studies and Language Arts. He also coaches Middle School Foothall and Baseball. as well as 'I.V. Basketball. Mr. Safrit attended S.M.U., where he received his BA. Curtis Smith arrived at St. Mark's this year from Dahomey, West Africa, Where he taught for the Peace Corps. He teaches English and is the Assist- ant Coach for Cross Country. Mr. Smith has earned an M.A.T. from Dulce University. C... rf if I .t E3 H Roberta Mailer came to St. Marlcls in 1975 to direct the Developmental Reading Program in the Middle and Upper Schools. She holds a BA. from Florida State University and an MS, from Syracuse University.

English Department After a six year absence, Bill Fleming returned to St. Marks last year to teach English and serve as the Director of College Placement. He also coaches Varsity Tennis. Mr, Fleming received an A.B. from Princeton and an M.A. from Middlebury College. Frank Murray, '67, came to St, Marlcis to teach Social Studies and Psychology in 1975. VI. J. Connolly, the Senior Master, has finished his twenty-ninth year at St, Markis, Mr. Connolly earned an AB, from Boston University and a Diplome from the Universite de Besancon. Mr. Connolly teaches Middle School English. Anne Freeman first came to St. Maries in 1958 Since then, he has assumed the chairmanship of the English Department and has become the Class Sponsor of the Seventh Grade. He also coaches B- team tennis. Mr. Murray holds a BA. from Wil- liams College and an M.A.T. from the University of Massachusetts. ' -.. -,,,- and taught English for seven years. She then left to study at the University of Texas and returned in 1975 to teach Upper and Middle School English. Dr. Freeman earned her BA. at N.T.S.U. and both her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin,

Andrew Mailer came to St. Markis in 1969 to teach Upper School English. ln addition to coach- ing Varsity Cross Country. Mr. Mailer sponsors The Rcfrlflarker, the Ski Club and the St. Markis chapter of the Cum Laude Society. Susan Palmer, completing her second year on the St. Mark's faculty, teaches Middle School Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. In addition to her teaching duties, she sponsors the Cheerleaders, edits the Sl. illarkbt Neuivlcfffer and assists Mr. Fleming with College Counseling. Mrs. Palmer earned both her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Pennsyl- vania. I' P A ff, ii A ' ' .. 'F Y' .K f ., .SN .1 'J Kim Gagne has just completed his second year in teaching English at St. Marks He has partici- pated in the Freshman Trip for two years and is an assistant Wrestling coach. Mr. Gagne teaches Upper and Middle School English and co-sponsors Ylve Rcfrllarkcfr. He has a BA. from Duke. -eq' New this year, Mr. Frank jones taught junior and sophomore English. He has a B.A. from Brown University and an M.A. from the University of Keele. He is now working on his Doctorate for English at Duke.
