Roger West came to St. Mark,s in 1962 to be Director of Facilities. In addition to his regular duties, Mr. West teaches automobile repairs, and coaches vI.V. He is also the school's Financial Officer, a member of the Admis- sions Committee, and Sponsor of the yearbook. Mr. Geyer graduated from St. Marlc's in 1966 and received a BA. from Vanderbilt in 1970. . ..., O. UI. Page has been a member of the Mainte- nance Department since he came to St. Mark,s in 1972. For the last three years, he has been Superin- tendent of Maintenance. Phil McDaniel has been Head of Student Ser- vices since 197O. He also teaches Driveris Education and coaches Volleyball and Basketball. He received a B.A. from Sam Houston State and a teaching cer- tificate from N.T.S.U. and I.amar Tech.

Mr. Michael Shepperd came to St. Mark's in 1975 to become Head of the Upper School. He teaches Psychology and Literature, and coaches Basketball and Baseball. He also serves on the Discipline, Cur- riculum, Tutorial, and Admissions Committees. Mr. Shepperd has his B.A. from Yale. Herbert Meyer came to St. Markis in 1970 to teach Upper School English, and the following year, he assumed the duties of Dean of Students. He sponsors the Student Council and Lion and Sword, advises the Pershing Tutorial, and coaches Varsity Soccer. Mr. Meyer earned his B.A. in Eng- lish from Emory University and his M.A. from Middlebury College. 1.1, pa 1-L, 'E . '--Q-...... Mr. Kohler received a B.A. from Austin College and an M.A. from S.M.U. Larz Anderson, a member of the St. Marlcis fac- ulty for eight years, serves as Head of the Lower School. English Department After a six year absence, Bill Fleming returned to St. Marks last year to teach English and serve as the Director of College Placement. He also coaches Varsity Tennis. Mr, Fleming received an A.B. from Princeton and an M.A. from Middlebury College. Frank Murray, '67, came to St, Marlcis to teach Social Studies and Psychology in 1975. VI. J. Connolly, the Senior Master, has finished his twenty-ninth year at St, Markis, Mr. Connolly earned an AB, from Boston University and a Diplome from the Universite de Besancon. Mr. Connolly teaches Middle School English. Anne Freeman first came to St. Maries in 1958 Since then, he has assumed the chairmanship of the English Department and has become the Class Sponsor of the Seventh Grade. He also coaches B- team tennis. Mr. Murray holds a BA. from Wil- liams College and an M.A.T. from the University of Massachusetts. ' -.. -,,,- and taught English for seven years. She then left to study at the University of Texas and returned in 1975 to teach Upper and Middle School English. Dr. Freeman earned her BA. at N.T.S.U. and both her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin,
