Mr. Prescott's specialty is French. Juan J. Egues Clovver leftj has spent four years at St. Mark's. l-le teaches Spanish and coaches soccer, Currently he is the .Junior Class sponsor, and Soccer Program Coordinator. Mr. Esler holds BA and MA. degrees and has attended Muskingum College, National Uni- versity ot Mexico, and Middlebury College. Mr. Esler teaches Spanish. Carlos Arandia Clovver rightj joined the faculty of the Language Department in 1969. l-le teaches Spanish and holds a teachers diploma from the 'Normal School in La Paz, Bolivia, a BA. from Morningside College, and is working on his MA. at the University of Dallas. Sr. Arandia is the freshman soccer coach.

He is also assistant coach of the St. Marlds sailing club, and sponsor of the Middle School Astronomy Club and the Middle School Card Club. M. J. Bennett Ctop rightj has completed his tenth year at St. Marks Mr. Bennett is a member ot both the English and Foreign Language Departments. He holds BA. and MA. degrees from Oxford, an MA. from Breadloat School ot English and also has attended Vergilian Society School at Cumae. Mr. Bennett is the sponsor of the Film Society and is a member ot the Curriculum Study Group. He teaches Classics, An ne Freeman Clovver rightj has spent nine ofthe last seventeen years at St. Marlds. After teaching for seven years she left in 1965 to work on her PhD. at the University of Texas. She came back to St. Marlds in 1973 having completed her PhD. Dr. Freeman also attended North Texas State and Harvard. She is a member of the Independent Studies and Tutorial Committees

Mrs. Coby teaches French to both Middle and Upper School students. She holds a B.A. from the University of Dallas and an M.A. from Middlebury College. Paul Weadon Cbottom centerj, a 1972 arrival at St. Mark's, teaches both the German and Russian languages. Mr. Weadon is an American Field Service Representative and acts as coach to the table tennis team. He has received a BA. from Brigham Young University and an MA. from the University ot Ari- zona. I R l. in l 5- 1 ,Q 1' T ,JK Bob Kohler Ctopb, a 1963 St. Mark's alumnus, returned to St. Marks in 1971 to teach Spanish. Mr. Kohler coaches the junior varsity cross-country team and the soccer team. l-le is also a part of the Middle School Outing Club, the Pecos Wilderness staff and the Middle School admissions staff. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees, and has attended Aus- tin College and S.M.U.
