.aff ,, r The student body actively participates in Morning Prayer and Sacred Studies which are held under the direction of the Rev. Fr. Bothe, the school's Chaplain. In addition to this, early services are held each morning in the Chapel of the dorm- itory for the boarding students at 7:00. On Sundays, the boarding students attend the 8:00 service at the Cathedral. In both the early services and the Moming Prayer ser- vices the priest is assisted by the students. At 9:15 the procession begins from the school building to the Cathedral with the entire student body and faculty attending. A welcomed addition to the service of Morning Prayer is the music, with Mr. Alec Wyton, recently of England, as the organist and choirmaster.

l 5 r 7,42 GCE The Mace is the symbol of authority and is displayed at all official convocations of the school. The President of the Student Council is the Mace-bearer and leads all formal processions. In 1949 the Mace was given by members of the faculty, friends of the deceased, and members of her family. The Rev. M. B. Terrill designed the Mace which bears the follow- ing inscription: To the Glory of God and In Loving Memory of Marguerite Holdsworth Alley Obit. 1949
