150 9' WX orma Yllzsrlzlanars vlfff X 001 The tar slowly pulled its way up the wrndrng road and wrth a mountmg lump rn my throat I gazed at the brg red burldrng How tovs ermg rt seemed and I so small' As the car stopped a mass of blue surged toward It blue lmen unrforms laughmg faces happy faces Then someone crred A new fresh man' and my hfe at St Margaret s began That lump rn my throat dlsappeared when rn my room I found my bed already belng made by a crowd of old grrls whose humor vsas contaglous And soon I found myself one of the mass of blue al most half of whom were greenhorns lrke me Desprte our dread of marchrng 1nto chapel whrth entarled the tonfusrng double row we found our new lrfe very enjoyable mth Mrss Edell s heart party the old grrl new grrl party and the two PICHICS The fresh man soon learned too that that speclal group of older grrls were the respected revered seniors on whose steps one never trespasses and for whom one always warts at meals In splte of bemg the bables and havmg only one quarter of the class boarding we made ourselves known by havrng members on the Glee Club rn plays and on the teams well lf we weren t on the teams we could at least cheer lead' After our electron of Gmny Bevans as class charrman and Denxse Black as treasurer along with Mrss Sutherland as class advlsor the terrlfled freshmen became really acclrmated yes even to the pornt of belng dubbed the terrlfyrng freshmen It vsas Mr Ayres who fully realrzed the mgenlous vnorkrngs of freshmen mrnds workrngs that were powerfully persuaslve the flora and fauna of Spflllgflfne are very conduclve to study' Then came the horror of all horrors when surrounded by ln ' Q it 'L M x .
