The FFA is one of the largest organizations in SLHS. They participate in many activities during the school year. Several members attended the State Convention in March where they received awards for their ivork. Receiving awards for crops were: Brad Bebow and Darryl Fowler. Receiving awards for Turf and Land were: Randy Hahn (State Winner) and Bob Prestage. Dan Shenvood won a Swine award and Kevin Laethen won a Sales Service award. The Ag Mechanics award went to Kern Komperda and the Outstanding Junior award to Dan Sherwood. Scholarship awards were presented to Brad Bebow and Jeff Sherwood. The follounng students attained the degree of State Farmer: Brad Bebow, Jeff Sherwood, Bob Prestage, and Scott McCormick. 27
