NINETEEN HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE CAVALCADE VOLUME XLIV ST. LOUIS HIGH SCHOOL 201 E. Saginaw Street St. Louis, Michigan 48880 THE WAY WE WERE Memories—light the corners of my mind. Misty water color memories— Of the way we were. Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind. Smiles we gave to one another— For the way we were. Can it be that is was all so simple then. Or has time rewritten every line? If we had the chance to do it all again. Tell me—Would we? Could we? Memories—may be beautiful, and yet. What's too painful to remember— We simply choose to forget. So it's the laughter we will remember. When ever we remember— The way we were. Copyright (c) 1973 by COLGEMS-EMI MUSIC INC. We tried t( capture those precious moments that live on in our hearts and minds. As you flip through the pages of thi last year I hope you remember all the laughter that we've shared. In the last year the class has worked well together and now that Graduation is upon us, many have mixec feelings. We are ready to move on, yet we're not ready to leave behind our friends and the security of higl school. As the Class of 1983 moves on and we go our own separate ways, I can only hope the rest of thi classes have all the fun and great times our class has had. The Class of '83 is unique in many ways—we have gifted athletes, musicians, and some very intelligent stu dents. But the most unique thing is the closeness which is not often found in a class. Smiles and laughs art always present when the Class of 1983 is around. We would like to thank Dick's Studio for their wonderful pictures, Mr. Wing and Mr. Caszatt for their help, and the staff for the hard work and long hours they have put in on the yearbook. A very special thank you to Shawn Coston and Stephanie Erskine, the assistant editors, and Mrs. Jane Sommerville the yearbook advisor. Without these people the yearbook would not have been possible.
