,Ss K- iz. The computer program was greatly expanded when Juniors and Seniors were allowed to take an introductory course dealing with the basic program. These students were required to develop various programs ranging from major league baseball averages to several math concepts. These future computer scientists placed tedious hours punching keys and praying for the correct program. Br. Verre and Mr. Fowler had the fortunate task of teaching computer science. As in previous years, huge sums of money were invested into the com- puter department. For the first time, report cards came directly from our own computers. The Jog-a- Thon was also performed by St. Laurence com- puters. In these ways, the computer investment is beginning to reap its benefits. Computers f 143
