3 Hikca ilicauc Q fur Blast I imc The highlight of highlights, the moment of moments, the reason you did all that work for four long, drawn out, and at the same time exciting years, all came on the same night- graduation night. Tickets were nearly impossible to get for most people, and some people were turned away at the door of St. Albert's as the graduation exercises commenced. After four years of hard work, the night Top: President Jim Valek gives an inspiring address. Middle Right: Jim Valek and John Kelly look on as their fellow seniors graduate. Middle Left: Dave Mer- ron receives his diploma from Brother McKenna. Bottom: Seniors proceed to get their diplomas. 48 f Graduation proved especially nice for John Kelly and Jim Valek who had earned the honor to speak as Valedictorian and Salutatorian respectively. Their speeches were inspira- tional to all those who had worked perhaps as hard but not as successfully as these two, It was the culmination of long hours, endless weeks, infinite months, and somehow only four years of work. 1 . ,, . , , ii :L fl After flluur Heats the ight Held at the Fontana D'Or on Chicago Northwest side, the day finally came that the seniors had all been waiting for. On May 7th the senior prom took place wonderfully under the directorship of president Jim Valek. The evening began at 7:00 with the receiving line. Between 7:30 and 8:00 couples had photos taken and prepared for dinner which began at 8:00. Upper Left: Jim Bonomo chats with his girl friend. Above Left: Mike Pavlic poses with his girlfriend for the photographers. Above Middle: Kevin Lyne, always the gentleman, pulls out the chair for his date. Above Right: Other things are done at the Senior Prom that are not so conventional. Left: President- elect T. Anthony Zuro and Principal Br. McKenna greet the promees as they arrive. Right: The Prom King and Queen, Bob Belczak and Debbie Niedos, enjoy the crowning festivities. UIUBZ The dinner consisted of prime rib and also during that time music was provided by the Revolutionary Swing Orchestra. After dinner couples rocked to the music of Horizon. The theme song was Bob Seger's hit We Got Tonite. The night ended at 12:30 at which the seniors were given a mug and a time glass for their dates. Q . e-ts W , ffl? J... ..
