All sophomores must take the course. lt has a classroom study and lab work. Dissecting a fetal pig is usually the high point of the Biology year. nphumnre 1 alan Q Qlathulinz illeague 'Maths 'x The sophomore cross country team had one of the most successful running seasons in the school's history. The team had a 10- 2 dual meet record, and did well in the following invitational meets: Oak Park, third place, LaGrange, 2nd place, Reavis, 2nd placeg St. Ignatius, 2nd placeg Argo, 2nd place. The highlight of the 1981 season was when the sophomores won the Catholic League Championship. Many outstanding performances occured that day, but the most impressive were registered by Chris O'Donnell and Pat Tierney who lead their team to victory by finishing lst and 2nd respectively in the Catholic League. Chris O'Donnell also set a new school record on St. Laurence's home 3 mile course at Bullfrog Lake with a time of 15:56, just missing the course record by 1 second. The freshman team also had a good start with a dual meet record of 3-5.
