A THE OFFICE OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN is recited by the Jesuit priests, and commemorative prayers are added to their Masses, the teaching scholastics, lay-brothers, and lay-faculty ioin themselves with Mary of Nazareth and of Calvary - during this year dedicated to Our Blessed Mother's Immaculate Conception, the MARIAN YEAR. These Marian devotions have been faithfully practiced and zealously preached by the Society of Jesus ever since Mary's apparition to St. Ignatius at Montserrat. Throughout this centennial year, therefore, following the counsels of Pius IX and Pius XII, we, the faculty of St. Joseph's Prep, rededicate ourselves and fervently pledge our Masses and Holy Communion, our Sodalities, and Spiritual Exercises, sermons and classes, rosaries and prayers, Quarterly and Yearbook as spiritual gems in the radiant crown of our Heavenly Queen.
