JOE FARRELL who give a special character to each and every day at St. Joe ' s. From the moment we walk through the door in the morning and are greeted by Pete ' s smiling face ' till we leave after a long day and say, Good night, Mr Farrell, we know that these two men are always there for us β€” to provide security, to repair and replace a million things, or just to talk to and lighten up our day. For all they are and do, we offer our heartfelt thanks. a1 1 ..T, Sf - I a 4 6 ' .id 7ait) e of Contents Administration and Faculty 15 Seniors 33 Clubs 45 Senior Informals 74 Well-wishers 91 Senior Directory 112 The sun now sets upon our years of labor, of toil and tears and sweat. The day has flown with the breath of the wind and it urges us forward, the next step. Stride proudly into the unknown mist, the dawn of a brand new day. The future holds you no new bounds, each must make his lone way. Some years ago, we each in turn, faced an ominous, winding road. It graded sharply towards the sky towards what seemed an unreachable peak. We stand proudly now upon the summit, with nothing, but confidence and strength. And we realize with the truth we have learned, that we have only begun the ascent. Then remember friends, the fear you felt when you approached these wizened gates. How you all at once felt so surrounded but nevertheless alone, afraid. Well remember as well the many times you cried, on a sympathetic friend ' s shoulder Or the time you borrowed a buck or a book or someone ' s joke filled you with laughter Then think very hard and remember the time when your work was thirty days past due. When you had four exams, two days to study and you felt you would never get through. You walk not alone, but with a hidden strength . . . Your faith in yourself and in God. You will come soaring through it, soon stand above it. Though you stand proudly alone, you are not. J. Walas Remember your friends . . . . when all at once you feel alone or afraid. Dillon ' s 50th Anniversary The Dillon Child Study Center was founded in 1934 by the late Monsignor William T. Dillon, Second Presi- dent of St. Joseph ' s College. In Honor of the Dillon Child Study Center ' s 50th Anniversary, the Graduat- ing Class of 1 984 would like to extend its best wishes for continued success in educating young children. The basic philosophy of the center is geared to- wards the development of the total child. Emphasis is placed on social growth and the fulfillment of each child ' s unique and individual needs. The rich and stim- ulating educational experiences provided at the Dillon Center are enhanced by the quality of its teaching staff and the unending support of the parents. The Dillon Child Study Center has become a sec- ond home to the students and the Child Study De- partment of St. Joseph ' s College. The Dillon Center serves to enrich their educational program and pro- vides a much needed opportunity for student teach- ing and observation right on campus. For all this, we are most grateful. 12 {MLMM. :7 TL U P 13 -a J Β When a moment passes by it has gone for- ever, and nothing can recall it but a memory. We desired knowledge to guide us along our chosen paths. With family and friends, we were always discovering. We found at each turn someone who cared, to make our way more sure.
