FOBTY-NINE to TWENTY-THREE! But the A juniors put up a good fight in the second half. A certain Senior Pahty from up Hahvahd way was the shining G ' 7 V stah that day-she jumped and dashed and passed with might and main. 9 , ' X . ,V Though we didn't play the memorable game on the ninth of March our senti- f Vt- ments were right there-fwith the Sophs. The Social Hall was crowded-Freshmen, little dears, putting on a bold iront thiding chattering teeth behind silly gigglesj-Sophomores, loyally displaying the Red and White of their noble Sister Class-Juniors-just a bit on the lence tthe Seniors had turned out en masse for them at one game-but the l'1'6Sl1lES.l1RCl yelled more loudly-and besides, there's that Sister class spiritlJ- And Senlors-Calm, unruliied, heart and soul in the danceg aware only of the fact that son1ebody's Headin' for Harlemf, maybe it's Ole Man' River. ' A large attendance at prayers that night, probably because Higher Authority appeared without warning! But why the over-crowded Church for Saturday Mass?-Well-Seniors go daily, and the others had their reasons, no doubt. 4 NINE-THIRTYI The gym draped in many colors-RED AND WHITE!- blue and gray. Chords sounding majestically from the piano-then '4Get in the Game and -win Girls caroled f?l by thirty voices. TEN O'CLOCK-theyire Hin the game -Joe gets the tap-off-Helen is right- read asses to Francis who waits on the line for it-quick pass to Mary-crisscross lim! .+ ,, Mis if Q39 1 . A 5 ri-fat Qi ll flax X , .,, all' ya P and we have the first point. We have the next and the next right up to fifty-the ,tidy largest score ever amassed on our Beautiful Valley Court. Fifty points the first half E and sixteen minutes to go. I . Of course we had opposition-there's no denying it-those Freshmen are GOOD! They almost made a basket-in fact Brads was what you call Winded, r y chasing that little Roarke girl. But she managed-and the final whistle sounded P . on our eightieth point. Which is to say: that the Seniors played the Freshmen and won the banner with a 80-0 score. W ,XM It may be 'well to note here that at the moment of writing this game has not . yet been played, hence any discrepancy which may arise, fin score or procedurel 2 , is due to some unforeseen circumstance. U F . The Nautical Sport: , . r 6155 Divers divers claim the attention of the Spotlight. Namely: Frommeyer, Dewlng, lVlclVlahon, Langell, Roberts, Batson, Warfield, Callahan, Giblon, Laurlno and the Q53 f Freshman Class fYea-verily--the Freshmen who are not learning the art of the springboard are very fewj.
