Now it has been proven that this convent, or any other con- E Q vent so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are writing a IS? Q memorial of that proof. We are dedicating a portion of that memorial to E those who here spent their lives that this convent might thrive. It is altogether Q fitting and proper that we do this. But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate lg E a memorial to them: the brave nuns, living and dead, who struggled here gl have left an memorial far above our power to addfto or detract from. St. E E joseph s will little note, .nor long remember what we write here, but it can E23 gl never forget what .they did here. It is for us, the students, rather to be dedi- E E cated to the unfinished work which ,tl3ey 'fyjrli6 llabored here have thus far so lg lg nobly advanced.
