Around these images memories come Adding to the excitement of ring day is the symbolic gesture of turning the rings. Sister Albert wishes Caryl Ittner lots of luck as her classmates gather around. Chris Mullin beams a smile of pride and contentment after receiving her ring. These feelings pervaded the chapel, as each Junior experienced the joy of wear- ing her ring for the very first time. The aura surrounding a school ring is all too mysterious for a Freshman, In Junior year, anticipation reaches a peak and each girl wonders what makes the ring so special. Then, the moment arrives — a feeling of oneness with the Hill materializes. Here, Father Elmer Reiss presents Maureen Whyte with her ring. Joan Wiest and Stephanie Woods wait as their moment of awareness approaches.

Open House Meeting a group of Hilltoppers on a bus stop Is not very unusual. Here tourist guide, Cail Green- dale takes this opportunity to ask senior lean Bell about her lite at the Hill. Sophomore Cathy Blake, and juniors Liz Cargiulo, Betsy Joslyn and Grace Palladino wait to be interviewed. The behind the scenes action at any program is just as important as the action on stage. This is proved as Sister Clarissa, a member of the Open House kitchen crew, cleans the counter. Our growmg science department and the new radiation scintillator were special points of Interest durmg Open House. Mrs. Holton and her daughter Maryann toured the school with a personal explanation given by senior Sue LaDuca. 87

Alumnae Coming back for a short visit to old friends is always fun. Alumnae Susan Fitzgerald and Nancy Kelly are chatting with juniors Stephanie Woods and Anne Marie Brown about the new ives they found upon leaving St. oseph ' s. Sandra Cargaloni, a ' 64 graduate, smiles as she plays the accordian for a dance in the Social Hall. One of the many activities the Alumni Association sponsors each year is a Communion Breakfast. This year Father O ' Donnell of Augustinian Academy was the guest speaker. As in past years, old friendships were renewed and happy memories were relived. I mm i. 89
