Believe it or not there are people who love mice and Katie Galluzzi is one of them. As a member of the Bio Club she takes charge of the menagerie of four-legged creatures found in the lab. Fish are also important to Bio Club members; Debbie Hol- ton in particular. Debbie is chief keeper of the famed collection which is housed in a fifty-five gallon tank. A point of interest in the hallway, at least to Donna Stewart and active Club members Helene and Jeanne Cogliandro, seems to be the guinea pigs Sr. Clarissa cuddles. Acquired this year, these pets immediately stole the hearts of all in the Science Club. 61

Science Club Dissecting a baby shark was a project given to Science Club mem- bers A. Schoentube, A. M. Sheehan,G. Cregorowicz and M.Craber. Through this dissection the Seniors became familiar with internal organs of the fish. In order to calculate the respiration rate of germinating peas, senior Mary Pat Roitzsch sets up a thermobarometer. The Sci- ence Club gives those who participate m it a deeper apprecia- tion of the world of research. As Mary Pat illustrates, technique is a definite part of that world. One of the many projects of the Science Club was to pamt the Research Lab. Sister Clarissa, club modera- tor, and Gerry Moore look quite surprised as they are confronted by the camera of Sr. Albert. 60
