Dramatics The middle of the first performance of Meet Me in St. Louis, finds Katie, (Stefani O ' Connor) and Tootie shocked to hear that Tootle ' s father has been fired. Now the question is, Will they have to l eave St. Louis? An important part of every production takes place behind scenes and good stagehands are the backbone of the play. K. Johnsen and J. Merola, members of the costume committee, help Ed Callahan prepare for his role. Tootie (Marianne Portera) and Esther (Eileen Boyd) rummage through a box of cream confections for a suitable piece of candy. Meanwhile, Agnes (Donna D ' Ermilio) looks at her chocolate cov- ered hand. Backstage, Coke is the thing for irate neighbors. Science Club Dissecting a baby shark was a project given to Science Club mem- bers A. Schoentube, A. M. Sheehan,G. Cregorowicz and M.Craber. Through this dissection the Seniors became familiar with internal organs of the fish. In order to calculate the respiration rate of germinating peas, senior Mary Pat Roitzsch sets up a thermobarometer. The Sci- ence Club gives those who participate m it a deeper apprecia- tion of the world of research. As Mary Pat illustrates, technique is a definite part of that world. One of the many projects of the Science Club was to pamt the Research Lab. Sister Clarissa, club modera- tor, and Gerry Moore look quite surprised as they are confronted by the camera of Sr. Albert. 60
