Minds probe for answers This year the complexities of Science were explored by twenty-two Seniors during their course in Advanced Biol- ogy. Camilla DeRose concentrates on the respiration rate of yeast in serial dilutions. There ' s enough worry involved when you have to take your own tempera- ture, no less that of an unidentified solution! Liz Cargiulo carefully watches as the temperature rises. It ' s amazing how accurate a thermometer can be, but only a chemist knows for sure. Laboratory work is an important part of the General Science curriculum as proved by Fresh- men 224. Learning the correct procedure for recording statistics is necessary for the two years of Science that follow. Mary Jane Ignozza and Ceil Haring calculate the weight of a cylinder while their lab partners Kathy Doyle and lean Zurmuhlen verify data. Their class- mates, unaware of the camera, continue the assignment. 28
