Yarn and knitting needles became a familiar sight. This year Juniors and Seniors were given the opportunity to further their understandmg of American History. America ' s accomplishments from her origin to the 1970 ' s are covered in this course. Sister Raimonde strives to better prepare her students for college history. 25

Testing 1, 2, 3, the language lab is now in session. Sister Patrice keeps in contact with treshmen Ellen Patino, Rose Ann Pileggi, Josephine Cuccurullo and Joanne Maltese. The lab aids the students in both their oral and listening comprehension besides helping them acquire a proper pronunciation of the language. Once a month, language students get away from their routine lesson structure to combine learning and enjoy- ment at a language club meeting. Seniors Jackie D ' Anna and Linda Siconolfi practice a new French song. Summer m Spain was an experience worth remembering for Pat Sheehan. Pat attended the University of Salamanca and toured the countryside with Sr. Patrice and thirteen fellow Hilltoppers. German food tastes good even if you aren ' t German. J. Cogliandro, K. Foster, J. La Plante, and J. Salvi, proudly display their masterpiece of frankfurters and sauerkraut.
