THE SCRAPBOOK OF THE CLASS OF 1958 We were promoted to the seventh grade and became members of the .Tumor H1gh We really thought we were b1g stuff We started off the year under S1ster MaCT1Da but she left early 1n the year and S1ster Johanna took over Here are some plctures of the Junlor Hlgh basketball team on wh1ch we placed four of our boys the cheerleaders of whom Mary Pat was a subst1tute and of our f1 r s t school spell1ng bee Bob Connell was class presldent that year Kathy Howelljolned our ranks from Llncoln Another September rolled around and we were 8th graders Here s a plcture of our C1v1cs Club whlch was organlzed under the gu1dance of S1ster Dglarlta Presldent of our chapter was Mlke Muth e placed several more boys on the team and Shareen was elected a cheer leader We turn the page and flne ourselves 1n the nlnth grade classroom Th1s year our home room teacher was S1ster Mercla W e added another cheerleader from our class when Andrea was elected Here s a plcture of the Junlor hlgh tournament 1n whlch we reached the flnals before bowlng to Llncoln by 3 polnts All th e Sacred Heart gang re turned that year Emma and Pearl came over from St Peter Claver On to the tenth grade and now w e ar e full fledged members of the hlgh school onc aga1nunder S1ster Mercla We had two new members that year An1ta who came from Plttsburgh Pa and Barbara who came from Cammack Sandra representedus 1n the annual Volce of Democ racy Contest We had 7 of our boy s dresslng for the A team that year Wlth Butch and B111 Pasquall on the st ar t1ng 5 Shareen was elected subst1tute cheerleader Kevln onc e agaln re1gned a s class pres1dent The Dramatlcs Club presented 1ts f1rs Pass1on Play at Eastertlme 1n the C1ty Hall aud1tor1um We cllmb another s tep on our Journey and we are now Jun1ors w1th S1ster Lucla as our homeroomteacher We hada new member Janlce V1Ck who came to us from Wheel1ng Theresa Mlros won f1rst prlze 1n a essay contest on Commun1smheld 1n school Bob Connell became our class pres dent and S1ster Lucla helped u s plan our fund ra1s1ng projects for the prom 52 I . . . o s 0 I I I . .
