Junior Varsity The 1981 Junior Varsity Base- ball season was beginning when the The Brave went into publica- tion. Coach Ed Riley expressed hope and optimism for the upcom- ing season. Particular bright Spots were highlighted as he looke for impressive perfornamces from his young squad. Junior Varsity play- ers noted were Dean Der eth, a sophomore pitcher, Gregg Linne- Baseball bur, sophomore shortsto , Mark Mohler, sophomore third Easeman and Marty Galvan, freshman first baseman. The team expected a strong pjerformance from junior second aseman Rhett Sander.
