Wrestlers Goin Experience The 1980-81 Wrestlinglteam was a ear of rebuilding. The tough San Gabriel alley Broved, even touglher for the young Brave squad. Senior ana Swart led t e team and finis ed second in his weight division. Junior Dave Wieland also finished strong by co pin a silver medal during the lea ue finals. Junior Miiie Mgimtero wrestled his way to a tiird place bronze medal durin the final competition held here at St. John Bosco. Varsity Track ' Rain and water were the key words to the opening of this year's Track season. Because of the weather and a leaky watering pipe no track meet was run before The Brave went into final publication. We regret that the pictures of the squad are taken in warm-up gear, but we are also sure that the track team will have an impressive year. Coach Mike Sampson predicted a stron showing from his squad, he ta ged seniors Stan Madrid, foe Dalton, Juan Sanchez, Jeff Simonton, Jon Smock, Brendan Quigley, Dave Krow- likowski, Pancho Gonzalez, J acobus Boersma, Dan DiCrisi and Dale Rokes along with juniors Mark Gallegoes, George O'Gorman, Bill Castro, Manny Montez, Jose Pages, Jim Rogue and Greg Husted as strong finishers in the Del Rey an CIF finals. 1 Above: Senior Jeff Simonton practices in gpening of the 1981 Track season.
