4: WoTerpolo's Second Yeor The 1980 Water Polo team entered its second year of competition against some of the finest schools in Southern California. The team's 2-12 record for the Varsity level did not reflect their dedication and hard work. The Frosh!Soph team compiled an 11-4 record and made noises that will be surely heard in the future. In order to be a good runner, you have to experience both ain and fatigue and really suffer. Tliiese two and others know the feeling much more than the average student. Var- sity record was two wins and two losses and ended up in a tie for second lace in League competition with respi and Loyola. The man behind all of the training of these youn men is Coach Vic Sharp and Mige Ellis. They work with the team six days a week and about two hoursada . Sharp is looking iiorward to next year and all the talent he will have comin of the Junior Varsity and Froshfioph.
