ASB Does Mow: H626 Fuw This year's A.S.B. officers were very content with both their attitude and their performance. President Andrew Signey put it this way, No matter what was going on, we made the job fun. Andrew is right, Vice-president Tracy Wilkinson added, If we didn't make the A fun the pressure would kill us. As far as performance, this year's A.S.B. officers were very satisfied with what they got done. Mark Cha- vez, A.S.B. Secretary, and Mike Hammond A.S.B. treasurer agreed, After working hard on Football and Basketball Homecomings and see- ing the end results made it all worth the time and effort. The A.S.B. throughout the year worked extra hard to make this year a success. They also added the one element which had been missing the last few years - enthusiasm. They hoped that through their work this year they set an example for future student councils at Bosco. They can learn from this year's A.S.B.'s strong points as well as their mistakes. 1. Mike Hammond displays the hazards of running A.S.B. activities. Tracy stays clean. 2. A.S.B. President Andrew Signey. 3. Andrew Signey sits at head of table. Around the table is Tracy Wilkinson, Fr. Presenti, E. Robinson, H. Prukop, D. Gonzales, M. Chavez, X. Cali- lung, D. Wade, and Mike Hammond. 88 ASB

fl N fo A ' . Boscofs Best? Mark Mastergeorge was crowned the king of Bosco's first Basketball Homecoming. From the start the affair was put on a less than serious level. As proof, Bosco's Homecom- ing King Mark Mastergeorge wore a new Baseball undershirt and his best Army fatigue pants to be escorted by St. Joseph's Annette Breslin. lt made a beautiful picture, as for the first time we had Bosco's Homecoming King and Queen. Other Senior court members were Tony Morales and Louie Casas. Louie had his best bathrobe on but, alas, he was not able to wear the king's paper crown. Mike Hammond and Willie Howard were the junior princes. WiIlie's escort provided a nice touch by escorting him on a pair of crutches herself. The event also marked the last time Bosco's backcourt duo of Escandon and Carfino were to play together, as Bosco Braves. The pair responded as Richard Escandon scored 32 and Steve Carlino hit for 34 in a 92-75 drubbing of Alemany. Baskefballu 87

CSF MMA6 Buffy Y St. John Bosco's Chapter of the California Scholarship Federation started the year with one of its larg- est memberships in its Bosco his- tory. Club membership was based on academic achievement, a 3.5 GPA or better was required to join. The club was not merely an academic society, but an active one. Members voted Louie Casas, President, Mylin Watkins, Vice- president, Bob DaSiIva and Andy Bhupathy, secretary and trea- surer respectively. Under the leadership of these officers and the advice of moderator, Mr. McMorrow, the club had a busy year. The CSF's programs and activi- ties showed it to be a progressing club. wi Picture 1 C.S.F. seniors: B. DaSilva, L. Linder L. Casas, E. Malit, T. Ramirez, T. Templeman, D. Bendeck, M. Watkins, F.
