Bosca Dances Take QWAQTW Bosco dances this year didn't change much from last year. Still the crowds are getting smaller and smaller and there isn't that much interest in them any more. Most of the people who attended were Freshmen and Sophomores. Though these people may have nothing better to do on Saturday nights, some found themselves hav- ing a real good time. The music was a different tune from last year. While Rock and Disco were slowly fading out, punk rock was the in thing. Such music as the B-52's, DEVO, Blondie, Flying Lizards etc. . . hitthe 5 Bosco dance floor. Taking center stage for these dances were the famous St. John Bosco Punk-Ftock- - ers, with their Devo glasses, odd looking costumes, colored hair pogoing and worming their way to fame. A new and different attraction was the Time Warp Dance from the t'Ftocky Horror Picture Show. Most People who weren't into this type of music just enjoyed rapping with their friends and meeting new people. Hopefully, dances will be revived as a center of attraction for all students, with a different beat, larger crowds, and a lot more fun. 1. Eric Robinson takes time to get to know someone. 2. What dances are all about. 3. Mike Hammond takes time to figure ASB's profits. 4. Andrew Signey enjoying himself. 5. Chuck Addington and the crowd. Dances 81

? 6-fr , 2 ' . by i af' tw' 82 Feaatoggjs Bishop After three days of exams, Bishop Shubsda celebrated Mass for the Feast of St. John Bosco. In his ser- mon the Bishop stressed the impor- tance of putting trust in God. This was timely for the day because of the crises in Iran and Afghanistan. As Bishop Shubsda put it, We put our trust in nuclear weapons and nuclear technology, but this is not the answer, We need to put our trust in God because God is the answer. He will see us through. Besides these worldwide problems we have our own personal problems. Some- times if we are challenged we give up, we stop trying. The Bishop said this was a mistake, we need effort. In the greatest effort we will find sal- vation. Bishop Shubsda concluded, We should trust in God and make the effort. When we do this, we will fulfill our life.
