7 '- 1 , F, xg 'S-Q.. MTM ' Homecoming Week, once it got going, was an outstanding event. Tuesday was Hat Day but the hats were few and far between. On Wed- nesday, Tourist Day became an official event and was a hit as stu- dents got into their hard shoes, black socks, and Bermuda shorts. Thursday and Friday, Mike Ham- mond co-ordinated the events and put on a good show. The infamous apple juice chug-a-lug was replaced with the more civilized chocolate pie eating contest. Senior pig Jim W '? Melancon won this event. The jun- iors won the tug-o-war while the sophs won the new land skiing event. Senior Victor Paredes and Soph Tom Prukop put on a super arm wrestling contest which Victor won on a forfeit. However, the most spirited reaction came when Bob No Hair Rowe was chosen the winner of the hairy legs contest in a landslide. The rally on Friday fea- tured the Homecoming Court, the cheerleaders, and the St. Joseph Drill Team. as I-I 'Week 2 ? I ,,....
